In kind donations are appreciated and always needed. Below is a list of items that are always in demand at The Country Cats:
- Cat Food
- Cat Litter
- Towels and Blankets
- Pet Carriers and Crates
- Litter Pans
- Cat Condos and Crates
Many of the cats and kittens that are up for adoption come
from shelters that were about to euthanize them. It is very
disheartening to know that we can not save them all. All of
the cats live with foster families until a suitable home is found.
That only leaves us just so much space. However, our efforts
can only be expanded if we can acquire a dedicated location to house
the animals. At that point, when we walk through death row of the
shelters, not only will we be able to rescue cats but we will be
able to take the dogs to. On this note, any one who shares our dream
and can help us with our cause, please contact us.
In-kind donations can be brought to PetCo, 600 N. Galleria Dr, Middletown, NY 10940 every other Sunday. We will be there Sunday January 6, 2008 for our next adoption day.
Fostering/Volunteering
We
are always looking for volunteers and foster homes
We need people to
help with fundraiser organization, craft making, building of shelters,
transportation of cats, and various other jobs. Any time you have is
greatly appreciated.
In order to take in as many cats as possible we need to place cats and kittens into foster homes. If you have a place in your home and heart please contact us.

About Fostering
Fostering situation vary in length. Some cats may only need socialization and are adopted to their forever home quickly, this is especially true with kittens. The cats that are older or need to recover from illness, injury or abuse will need a longer term foster situation. All cats are adopted out as quickly as possible, but we will only let them go to appropriate homes.
Some of the kitties have special need. They may need a home without
dogs, cats or both. Some may need special medical care and some may just
need a little extra love to make them adoptable. Medical care expenses
will be provided by The Country Cats.
